North Conway Water Precinct

North Conway Water Precinct

The North Conway Water Precinct (NCWP) serves the water, sewer & fire needs for North Conway and Parts of Bartlett, NH as well.
The water precinct's primary functionis to provide water, and it dows this through a series of pumping stations which produce water from several hundred feet beneath the Saco River Valley.   Because of the granite rock that is found in the White Mountain region, the water is naturally rich in minerals, including naturally occuring flouride.
It's secondary function is to provide fire and rescue services to the region.  Services which are provided by the precinct are contracted and funded through taxes within the Conway, NH and Bartlett, NH communites.
Beginning in 1995, the water precinct took on an ambitios plan to provide a municipal sewer system for the region.  Today's NCWP has met this challenge with a state of the art water filtration facility which can process in excess of 1.5 million gallons of waste per day, and return the water to the earth as pure, potable water once again.
The North Conway Fire Department, is Located in North Conway Village, and consists of more than twenty dedicated firefighters with an extremely modern fleet of fire apparatus, ambulance and rescue apparatus.
